The President of Casino di Campione d'Italia, Mario Resca, came out on all fronts and announced the measures it intends to take to address the international crisis that affects the casinos.
"The crisis is strong and is felt even at the Casino. We will have to reduce staff 100-150 people" said Resca to the press.
"Al Casino - stresses Resca - we have enormous costs, especially for two voices. On the one hand, the 40 million that we must pay annually to the town of Campione. Second, the enormous cost of staff which has now come to 55 million". A cost too high compared to those of competing casinos Ticino.
The announcement of Resca nell'enclave has aroused shock and outcry. "We are talking with the unions - stated Resca - I still talk to find the best formulas of layoffs, early retirement incentives and redeployment of staff, in addition to new investment on technology".
